Karen trained at the Jeannine Greville Dance Academies, The North London
Dance Studio, and The Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College.
Before Karen realised her true passion was for teaching, she had an extensive range of roles in many companies, including assistant choreographer for Thomsons Rep shows, dancer/ singer in a touring Cabaret Show with Mondiale Entertainment; Pantomime dancer; dancer in a MIB Tribute UK Tour; she was a ballroom dancer in the movie Vera Drake by Mike Lee; and has had many cameo, backing dancer and extra roles, both on stage and on TV.
Karen joined The Pat Steel School of Dance in 2004 teaching syllabus classes and is now Head of modern and tap at both schools. She teaches ballet, contemporary, modern and tap dance at both schools.
In addition, she teaches tap and modern at the prestigious Wycombe Abbey School and runs Easter and Summer dance camps during the holidays. When she’s not dancing, or costume hunting she’s fulfilling her other major role as
mummy to Amelia and Alex.
